ESG JAMBOREE 2021
ESG Jamboree on yksi YMCA Euroopan partiojaoston (European YMCA Scouting and Jungschar Group) kansainvälisistä tapahtumista. Koronavirustilanteen vuoksi emme pääse kokoontumaan tulevana kesänä kansainväliselle leirille, mutta partion harrastaminen on läpi ensi kesän mahdollista ESG-Jamboreen hengessä. Kärkitiimimme tarjoaa Not-So-Jamboree – The ESG Program Package –ohjelmapaketin, josta löytyy partioleiritekemistä niin etä- kuin lähipartioon.
The ESG Jamboree is one of the international events organized by the European YMCA Scouting and Jungschar Group. Due to the coronavirus situation, we will not be able to gather for an international camp. The spirit of the Jamboree will not falter, even though the physical camp has been cancelled. We are providing you with Not-So-Jamboree – The ESG Program Package, which includes activities suited for all situations: to do with your local group, in smaller groups or by yourself.

What happens in the event?

During this evening we will enjoy some videos from different countries, take a look into the past, play games and sing songs (a real band will play music) and of course enjoy the scouting spirit, that brings us all together. Next week we will send info the detail program including songs and link to join the event.

Fanny from ESG Jamboree TOP Team: I love mushrooms and my favorite trek food is the risotto with funnel chanterelles, made of hand-picked funnel chanterelles, of course 😉 These mushrooms are picked from Lapland, Finland. At this trek we got some company, you can see a white reindeer in one of the photos.

Risotto with funnel chanterelles
4 portions:
3 dl risotto rice
1-2 dl dried funnel chanterelles
1 vegetable bouillon cube
1,5 l water
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
vegetable oil
salt
white pepper
parsley
Sweat rice, chopped onion and garlic in oil. Add vegetable bouillon cube, funnel chanterelles and some of the water. Add more water little by little, until the rice is cooked. Flavour with parsley, salt and white pepper. Enjoy!

P.S. If you can`t find funnel chanterelles from your country, you can replace them with for example with champions or chanterelles.

TAVOITTEEMME–OUR GOALS
Kansainvälisyys – Suomalaisille osallistujille leiri on kansainvälinen partiokokemus, jossa pääsee matalalla kynnyksellä tutustumaan toisiin kulttuureihin ja rakentamaan ystävyyttä yli rajojen. Toisista maista saapuville leiri on suomalainen partiokokemus, jossa maamme partiokulttuuri ja luontosuhde tekevät itsensä näkyviksi.
Yhteisöllisyys – Leirillä rakennamme yhteenkuuluvuutta ja ystävyyttä yli lippukunta- ja valtiorajojen. Partion ja YMCA:n toimintakulttuurit ovat kaikkialla erilaisia ja loistavat omilla erityispiirteillään, ja samalla meitä yhdistävät jaetut arvot ja tavoitteet. Opimme toisiltamme, sekä eroistamme että yhteneväisyyksistämme.
Kokemus – Rakennamme leiristä ainutlaatuista kansainvälistä kokemusta, jonka aikana jokainen osallistuja pääsee ylittämään itsensä. Leirille lähdetään seikkailumielellä, ja yhteinen leiri on mahdollisuuksia täynnä.
Internationality – International experience for Finns in their home country. A Finnish camp and culture experience for our international guests. We gather YMCA/YWCA Scouts and Jungschars all over Europe to Finland.
Community – The Finnish YMCA/YWCA Scout groups are in co-operation making this camp happen in Finland. YMCA/YWCA and Scouting unite us together. What special does your YMCA/YWCA do in your country?
Experience – Experience new adventure in the ESG Jamboree. A unique scout event in a Finnish forest. Exceed oneself, make new friends. Leave the ESG Jamboree with your backpack full of new experiences.
